What's a Banner Ad?
A banner ad is an advertisement option used on the Internet. Banner advertising is likening to print display ads in our CONY directory. Banner advertising is in 4 colors with a link to your website at affordable rates. We have developed a rotating banner system on our 'Find a Park' page' and on our 'Regional' pages. (See enclosed samples of our 2006 advertisers)

Who Sees Banner Ads?
Banner ads are seen by everyone who visits our website, and as the visitor moves from page to page, there is ample chance they will see your ad.

For 2007 we had 99,997 visitors.

Our visitors to our website were down January - April, due to the redesign of the ARVC website, which did not include search engine optimization for the state pages. We lost referral links to our website.

Prior to the redesign of ARVC's www.GoCampingAmerica.com, website, their site placed #1 on Google and Yahoo, when the keywords search of 'new york campgrounds' was typed in by our campers. Starting in May, you can see that our visitors begin to pick-up due to search engine optimization being applied to the GoCampingAmerica website.

What Is the Benefit of Banner Ads?

What is the Cost of a Banner Ad?
On our 'Find a Park' Page, there will be one Top Rotating Horizontal Bar Ad (478 x 60 pixels) with a link to your website. A maximum of 5 ads per month will be accepted. There is a minimum service period of 3 months for $350 and a $100 for each additional month, or $650 a year.

On your own "Regional Page", there will be Rotating Square Ads with up to 10 ads per page (120 x 120 pixels) with a link to your website. A maximum of 10 ads per month will be accepted. There is a minimum service of $125 for 3 months and $25 for each additional month or $275 a year.

Each advertiser will also receive semi annual reports (April and October) on their viewing/click-thru statistics.

How Do I Get a Banner Ad for My Campground?
You can provide your own banner ad or provide us with a logo, photo, text, and AGS Internet Services, will create your own unique ad. A photo can be downloaded from your website, or you can provide a photo as small as a 3" x5" and up to 8" x 10".

Enclosed is our 2008 Online Advertising Agreement and Check-off List. Complete these forms, and return them to the CONY office with payment.
