Advertisers promoting outdoor recreation invited to participate

Pittsford, New York – Campground Owners of New York (CONY), a trade association of privately owned campgrounds in New York State, has partnered with Gannett Company – publisher of newspapers in Elmira, Binghamton, Westchester, Poughkeepsie, Ithaca and Rochester, NY – to create a special 12-page promotional insert focused on camping and outdoor recreation.

This insert will be hand delivered in the Gannett Sunday papers on May 18th to subscribers in those markets, with a potential readership of one million.

CONY is working closely with the ad sales department of the Rochester-based Democrat and Chronicle to coordinate the special 12-page camping/outdoor recreation insert layout and advertising sales. The insert will showcase New York camping and cabin rentals, as well as provide a platform for other businesses to reserve advertising and advertorial space to promote their outdoor recreation activities, products and services.

Published ad rates start at just $990 for a 1/8 page ad size (CONY members will receive a discounted rate). Reservation deadline is April 28, 2014. For more information on rates and sizes, or to reserve an advertising space contact Paul Theriault at the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, at or 585-258-2248.
